An Inside Look: Gallery and Facts
Did you know....???
The Francestown Village Store was once known as "The Long Store" and consisted of: A store by Clark and Gale, Two Banks, A shop and store by Jeweler Edward F. Roper, a post office, a Harness shop by Samuel B Hodge, and "The Engine house."
"Beef stew, Brooklyn Brewery brown ale. The ultimate pairing of comfort foods, good for the heart and soul.
Yesterday was my first visit to the store in a very long time. The article in the Ledger Transcript really caught my eye. In my opinion they did not oversell you at all. I also purchased the Village Pie for someone else who called me immediately and told me how much she liked it. She now wants to recreate it herself. Hopefully I will not be victim to too many failed attempts.
Your beer selection is by far the best in the area as far as I know. Much closer than traveling to Bert's Better Beers in Hooksett.
Good food, good beer....you should go a long way. Good luck"

"FINALLY! I had the chance to dine on one of your dinners!!!
We had the pasta with brie and wild mushroom! WOWOOOW!
It was fabulous. The detail you put into your dishes as well as the packaging is crazy! Tin foil included....too much!
We're selling the items because we're speaking about them.

"If you like beer, good beer, then you owe it to yourself to visit the FVS. I ski Crotched a couple of times a week, and I get cranky if I don't get to resupply the man-fridge from their outstanding selection."
The Francestown Village Store, located on picturesque Main Street in historic downtown Francestown, is one of our country's oldest general stores. Established in 1814 the Village Store has proudly served its community for nearly 200 years.
Here at the Village Store we pride ourselves on offering something a little different in this day and age; old fashion quality along with old fashion service. Whether you are looking for, intriguing new and or just stopping in for that last minute item, you'll find it at the FVS.
